IPHONE NOPHONE

The day came for me to make a decision on whether I wanted to spend the $600 + dollars to own the coolest phone in the world. Back in February, I was very hot for it, but I just couldn’t see myself spending so much money for this toy right now. Actually, it’s not a toy. It would be an awesome business solution because of Google Maps, the WIFI internet, picture and video capabilities, etc. Still, I just spent some money on a new camera lens so I had to stop myself from spending more. When 6 PM rolled around and the launch of the new IPhone started I kept saying to Rebekah, “IPHONE” “IPHONE” “IPHONE” I must have looked sad, because she told me to go get it. We even drove by a ATT store, knowing it wouldn’t be available. I might still get it, but I want to see it in person and play with it before forking over a chunk of change.
This one wedding photographer named Becker was camping out for his IPhone and I kept visiting his site to see what the situation was. I love this picture of him.

EDIT: 6/30/07
I just went to Alderwood Mall with my wife for some shopping and of course I went to the Apple Store to play with the IPhone. The screen is stunning. Pictures look so good on the 3.5 inch screen. Google maps works really well and overall it seems pretty cool. I wasn’t as happy with the speed of the internet surfing though. I wasnt sure if it was because so many people were using the wifi coming from Apple Store or what, but I was getting irritated with the surf speed. Anyway, after playing with it for about 30 minutes I decided I’m going to wait. I have no IPhone envy.

The fact that it’s on AT&T makes it not worth it. Otherwise, it is very tempting.
