I had the honor of photographing my cousin’s wedding last year. I remember I was so excited that I was going to photograph my own cousins wedding. She has always been such a good cousin and I think as she gets older, I’m realizing how big her heart is. If I start to think back, I have so many fond early memories of growing up in America, in large part, due to my cousin and her family. Pictured below is my first Christmas in America. I remember spending the night at their house and looking out the window thinking I saw Santa bring me presents. That first Christmas I received a cowboy vest and toy guns. I don’t remember what Agatha received, but it looks like I want it!

I have other great memories of my cousin. I learned how to ride a bike at their old house in Spanaway, WA. We used to go swimming together and even took trips to New York and a cool camping trip to Crater Lake. Our families used to do all kinds of things together and have these large family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at their house during the holidays. I remember one 4th of July weekend at their house, one of the fireworks buzzed into their garage and caused quite a commotion… I could go on forever with these little stories.
Anyway, back to the wedding. Their wedding was held in Federal Way at St. Vincent de Paul Church. She got married to Joe and I think he is perfect for her. You could really tell how much he loves her.
Here are some pictures my wife, cousin, and I took:

This was the first look Joe was going to have of his bride… guess who cried first?

Scott and Beth got married recently at Seattle’s Kubota Gardens and held their reception at the Palace Ballroom in downtown Seattle. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding in Seattle. Beth and Scott were made for each other and you could really see their love. Beth’s dad, owner of Yockey Communications, had this wonderful tuxedo on with the coolest bow tie. If you’re ever looking to write a book, talk to Ross or Beth and they will take care of everything from concept to product. Also, Scott Jones owns a catering company called Elemental Catering so speak to him if you need any type of catering done. It wasn’t the brightest day, actually it was cloudy and raining all throughout the week that we had scheduled Annita and John’s wedding portrait session. They were willing to come up to Seattle, but we decided Tacoma was a good location for their wedding photo shoot. John came decked out in a white tuxedo and a big smile. Annita looked terrific in her new wedding gown. Her wonderful friend Sovy came and was so helpful taking care of not only Annita, but me. We had scheduled a 3 hour shoot, but barely did 2 because it started to rain and it got dark. We took pictures mainly at the Japanese Garden in Pt. Defiance Park and briefly went to downtown Tacoma near the convention center and the Tacoma Union Station.
Some brides have been coming to us asking if we did bridal portrait sessions before their actual wedding date. Annita is getting married in July, but wanted this opportunity to relax and take more formal wedding portraits so we obliged. Bridal portraits aren’t in our wedding photography packages for this year, but if you’re interested please send us an email. It is typically 1/3 the package price so it’s not necessarily inexpensive, but could be worth it for you. Annita brought her own wedding bouquet, but my wife is bringing beautiful silk bouquets when she comes back from Korea so that should save future brides at least a hundred dollars. Angela and Kris got married last year in Tacoma, WA at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Their reception was held in the main banquet hall of Temple (Landmark) Theatre. It was a grand wedding. Angela looked so beautiful, elegant, and sassy all at the same time. Kris was like the knight in shining armor getting married to his bride-princess. There are certain people in the world who are always filled with energy and full of life… Kris and Angela are definitely two of those special people. They were such a fun couple to work with. Angela has a well known last name in Tacoma which she shares with her cousin Erik, who I was good friends with in grade school.
Here’s a slide show from their wedding. I will have an awesome music video clip online in the near future.

Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Josh and Tonia got married in Union, WA. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. Some of my favorite moments were the grandparents playing the music, Tonia and Josh’s getaway boat, and the very fun atmosphere!
